She was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and has been living in the United States since she was 18 years old. She’s lived in Jakarta, Tokyo, Belgrade, Athens, and Prague. Rae has a BA in Studio Art from University of Maryland and is currently a member of Friends of Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo, Washington DC.

Her style consists of playfully arranged lines and colors. She likes experimenting with colors and has always enjoyed the art making process more than the finished art work itself. Her art work is a representation of her feelings and thoughts.

Rae likes Hello Kitty, dancing, sushi, and noodles. Her favorite bands are Weezer, She & Him, Day Wave, and Mallrat.

No longer living a nomad lifestyle, Rae has settled down here with her husband, her young son, and Momo, her dog.
